The TU Graz Racing Team is a racing team based at the Graz University of Technology. Together with 280 other teams the TU Graz Racing Team competes in the international engineering competition Formula SAE. Forty students work in the TU Graz Racing Team in their spare time and without payment but with lots of enthusiasm. Together they strive to make their Tankia more powerful and competitive each year. Working in the TUG Racing Team allows us to gain additional qualifications, encourages team work and is also lots of fun.

Established in 2003 by TU Graz students on their own account, the TU Graz Racing Team‘s first race car was ready to be presented only 14 months later. After a great rookie season, our second race car, the Tankia2005, managed to become „Winner Over All“ in the German and Italian competitions. The team‘s success continued smoothly with the Tankia2006.

We work on our cars independently and under our own personal responsibility, socialise with countless companies, place orders suitable for production and learn how to manage our resources responsibly. The work on the car is influenced by projects and thesis and in return also influences them. Our aim is to develop and build the best Formula SAE car every year and win the „Winner Over All“ title in all three European competitions.
