The TU Graz Racing Team was founded in summer 2002 as an initiative by students of the Technical University Graz. Already 14 months later the first racecar was presented to the public. The first season proved to be very successful and the second car, TANKIA 2005, achieved two overall victories in Germany and Italy. More and more advanced Racecars followed and since 2012 the TANKIA was powered by a single-cylinder engine from KTM. (more under History)
With the new TANKIA 2020 a new chapter will be written, because the new Racecar will be powered by an electric drivetrain. This site gives you an overview over successful 16 years of TANKIA.
